Before you come in

A little preparation makes the visit easier.

Master’s cannot provide a device without a prescription, including for people who are not on Medicare. A few checks before you arrive save a wasted trip.

Do you have a prescription?Master’s is a Medicare provider and cannot provide services without a prescription from an MD, DPM, PA, or DO. That rule applies even if you are not a Medicare client. Bring the written order with you.
Is the device custom?Custom devices usually need an appointment. If you are not sure what the prescription is asking for, call (360) 307-7005 before you come. The front desk would rather sort that out on the phone.
Is your insurance current?Bring the card. Master’s will verify benefits. It still helps to know whether the device on the prescription is covered and whether the clinic is in your network. Coverage depends on the plan and the device.
What should you wear?Knee braces, compression garments, and some fittings need access to the limb. Tight pants get in the way. If a shoe will be modified, bring another pair to wear home.

Questions the front desk hears

Can I come on Saturday?

The clinic is open Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. Select Saturday appointments are available for prosthetic patients. Call and ask; they are not a walk-in hour.

Where are you?

9975 Mickelberry Road NW, Silverdale, WA 98383. The clinic is down the hill from St. Michael Medical Center and next to Trader Joe’s.

Do you fit arms as well as legs?

Yes. Most amputations are of the lower limb, and Master’s fits both lower- and upper-extremity prostheses, plus braces for both.

What happens after the first fitting?

You come back. Alignment, comfort, and repairs show up after a device meets real life. Follow-up is part of the care, not an extra.
